Ireland’s national eProcurement portal
- a project overview

In conjunction with the Department of Finance in Dublin, Millstream developed Ireland's national eProcurement portal, www.eTenders.gov.ie, in 2006. The portal was extremely successful and helped to standardise tendering processes into one online system for both purchasers and suppliers. It engaged more suppliers in the Irish procurement market and was an effective tool for managing both high and low value contracts.

Due to the overwhelming success of mytenders in the UK and the national Irish portal, Millstream decided to develop their very own system operated in-house aptly named mytenders Ireland. mytenders Ireland will act as a central facility for all public sector contracting authorities to advertise procurement opportunities and award notices.

"We had resigned ourselves to a long drawn out and cumbersome implementation process, but remarkably it only took two months and went really smoothly."
